Raise standards of ICT learning and teaching by:

• Improving teaching staff ICT confidence and competence.
• Promoting the use of the PNS progression in ICT materials.
• Supporting schools in embedding ICT within a creative curriculum.
• Supporting schools in implementing effective ICT assessment procedures.
  
• Strengthening procedures for effective ICT transition between key stages.
• Publishing exemplar planning, assessment and learning/teaching materials.
• Updating and publishing the revised ICT Subject Leaders' pack.

• Providing advice and guidance on safe internet use within schools.
  
• Promoting the use of the revised e-safety guidelines and policies.
• Encouraging schools to update the whole staff on issues of e-safety.
• Promoting the use of internet safety posters within schools.
• Publishing details of the Becta standards and guidance on the Kent NGfL website.

Increase the capacity of clusters to support and sustain ICT development within schools by:

• Supporting Clusters in appointing staff to coordinate Hands on Support provision.
• Providing ongoing guidance and support to HOS Providers.
• Providing appropriate CPD opportunities for HOS Providers.
• Working alongside Leading ICT Teachers to establish and develop Cluster based projects.
• Supporting Clusters in conducting an annual review of Hands on Support provision.
• Working with Clusters to evaluate the impact of individual projects.
• Monitoring the impact of HOS in raising standards within schools .
