There are many ready-made grids in the examples,
and on line in Clicker Grids for Learning. However it is easy to create
your own grids.
Log on and select Make a Clicker Grid. If you are
already in Clicker, select File then New grid. You will see a
variety of
templates. Begin by selecting a word grid as these are the easiest to use.
Custom lets you decide how many cells your
grid will hold. Select the number of cells across and down by using
the arrows.

Next click on the Send to tab
and make sure that Clicker Writer is selected. This will ensure that
your grid fills the lower part of the screen allowing Clicker Writer
to be seen at the top.

Entering words and pictures
into new grids
There are two ways to add words in cells:
- Hold down the shift key and click the left mouse
button. This allows you to type into a cell. You may find that a graphic
appears in the cell as you type. This is because Clicker has found
a graphic that matches your word in the graphics library.
- Hold down the shift key and click the right mouse
button. This will bring up the cell properties box. Type the word/s
in the space and then select a graphic.

Adding graphics to cells

When you select graphics in
the cell properties box, the Clicker Picture Library opens. Open
a folder, select the graphic, click open and then OK.
The picture and the word appear in the selected cell.

To change the word with the
graphic, click in the box and type a new word.
Or if you wish to have the picture and no word, delete the word.
