Now only one account will exist per school. This streamlines your self-review evaluation by ensuring that there are no duplicate accounts for your school and allowing collaborative working on a single account. The framework itself has not changed, only the interface to the framework. Our Guide to the Self-Review Framework This section of our website has been put together to help you find your way round the Becta self-review framework for ICT. The self-review framework is being used by more than half of all schools nationally to gauge where they are now and decide what they need to do to become an e-mature school.

Once the Framework is completed you will be able to print out some recommended actions which can feed in to the Self Evaluation Form (SEF) and school development plan. It is our very strong recommendation that school leadership is involved from the start. It is important to complete the Becta self-review framework online so it can be easily updated and other features of the tool can be used.
The ICT Mark is a nationally recognised accreditation scheme which gives schools recognition for their achievements in reaching a standard of maturity in their use of technology. Schools must complete the Becta self-review framework before applying for ICT Mark assessment but when ready complete an online application form. (The threshold is clearly shown on the self-review in each section by the ICT Mark symbol: To reduce the financial burden to schools undertaking ICT Mark assessment and accreditation, KCC have agreed to subsidise the fees payable as follows:
