Control, Modelling & Simulations at Key Stage One

An opportunity to explore control, modelling and simulation, including the use of PIXIE, within a practical, hands-on training session.

TARGET PERSONNEL:

Key Stage One Teachers and ICT Subject Leaders.

COURSE AIMS:

To develop teacher's knowledge and confidence in early control, modelling and simulation. To plan for opportunities and use the Pixie in the curriculum. To explore curriculum software and internet resources to enhance teaching and learning. To develop resources to support teaching and learning.

COURSE OUTLINE:

To develop ideas for using the Pixie and creating resources. Use a paint program to explore different effects. Compose own musical masterpiece. Explore modelling and simulation software.

COURSE BENEFITS:

Each delegate will receive a Pixie (Swallow Systems). There will be an expectation that the impact of hardware and opportunities to develop early control, modelling and simulation in the curriculum will be reviewed.
