This was my problem: "Sarah Swan has laid ten eggs. How many different ways can you put them into two nests? Can you show me how you did it?" |

To start with we used pretend nests and eggs to help us work out how many ways we could arrange the eggs in 2 nests! Next we used a Textease screen to see how many different ways we could arrange the eggs. Then we recorded our results in a table: ![]() So we think that there are 11 ways of arranging 10 eggs in 2 nests! |
