Thank you for these solutions to my challenge from Sellindge Primary School!
 

This was my problem:
"Sarah Swan has laid ten eggs. How many different ways can you put them into two nests? Can you show me how you did it?"
 

To start with we used pretend nests and eggs to help us work out how many ways we could arrange the eggs in 2 nests!



Next we used a Textease screen to see how many different ways we could arrange the eggs.



Then we recorded our results in a table:
So we think that there are 11 ways of arranging 10 eggs in 2 nests!
