Activity 6 – Saving audio clips as an MP3 file

Podium enables the user to save and export a recorded Chapter for use in another broadcast file or for e-mailing to others.

To save a Chapter an as MP3 file

1. Load and display the recorded chapter on the screen
2. Click on the Exports the sound to a file tab
3. The “Save As” window will appear with MP3 as the chosen format
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Select a folder and type in the name for the file
5. Click save

Note: Chapters can also be saved as a WAV file

To save an Episode as an MP3 file

1. Display the Episode that you wish to save on the screen
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the “Save” button on the main toolbar
   The “Save As” window will open
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Change the file type to MP3
4. Enter a file name and save the chosen Episode
