World War II Activity Day at Sholden Primary School

What we did

The staff at Sholden were supported on the day by the ASK History Advisor, HOS ICT Primary Consultant and staff from the South-East Grid for Learning.

During the morning the children used artefacts including ration books, diary extracts, gas masks, everyday clothes and uniforms loaned by the Museum of Canterbury to find out about:

• The clothing adults and children wore during World War II
• Food Rationing
• What happened during an Air Raid attack?
