World War II Activity Day at Sholden Primary School

Embedding ICT across the curriculum

History and ICT

Pupils can use ICT to support a wide range of learning activities that focus on gathering information and sharing what they learned with others. These activities include:

  • Writing letters, diary extracts and short stories
  • Listen to and composing their own songs about past events
  • Using web conferencing ( FlashMeeting) to interview evacuees and “hot-seat” famous characters
  • Photographing  artefacts from the period
  • Adding their own commentaries to news films from the period
  • Using  Digital Video to create short animations and re-tell past events
