World War II Activity Day at Sholden Primary School Sharing our work with others To share their learning with others pupils at Sholden Primary published the following reports on their Making the News website.
Sholden School World War 2 Day report by Rosie Before assembly we looked at what people were wearing. We had all dressed up for as evacuees the World War 2 day. We had assembly then went back to class. Mr Bracegirdle took some of us to the main building and we did some writing about World War 2. After Break We had another man come into our class called Mr Coulson. He showed us what food people had during World War 2 and why they had so little. He said the Germans shot the ships that had food in them so they didn't have much food. After Lunch We had a talk with real evacuees and asked them lots of questions about being evacuated. We were able to talk to them using our webcam and flash-meeting. I have learnt ...... Not all people are lucky and they barely had any food during WW2.
