Unit 1D: Lesson 2 I can use information to sort objects into sets Introduction (10 minutes) Sort the fruit and vegetables into two sets and ask children to think of the criterion used. Try again using a different criterion. Explain that children will sort their fruit and vegetables into two sets and record the criteria they have used. Demonstrate how to use My World, or Textease if used. Main lesson (20 minutes) Children sort a collection of pictures, or actual fruit and vegetables, into two sets and identify the criteria used. This can be recorded by: · Plenary (10 minutes) Ask children to show their work and discuss the criteria used.
