Summary

For teachers considering setting up a weather station in a primary school, this report gives practical advice on installing the equipment, accessing the data and using the recorded information in the curriculum. The pages also show how satellite images taken from the Internet may be used to support teaching and learning.

The school won a complete geostationary satellite system, and purchased additional equipment with NGfL support. Images from the satellite and recorded weather data will be available to other schools on Barming's web site.
