How can we improve the area we can see from our window?

N.B. It’s not always possible to get the view we want from the school window, your could use a view in a photo framed by a window – as in Jeannie Bakers book 'Window'.

Create a story ICT link Unit 2A
Give the children three or four pages from the book "Window" by Jeannie Baker. Ask them to record the main features in each view and note the changes. Ask them to write a story/captions for their series of pictures focusing on change, land use and what it would feel like to be there.

Seasons in the Garden - Teaching Resource
Children look very closely at a set of photographs taken of a suburban garden over the period of a year. Each picture was taken at the same time of day. They will develop their knowledge of what happens to plants in each season. It will also give practice in observation skills.
