Angel Falls

Map

The Angel Falls is on the Churún River in Venezuela, in South America. The Churún River is a tributary of the Caroní. It was named after James Angel, an American who crash-landed his plane nearby in 1937. It is difficult to visit the Falls because it is in a dense rainforest. There are no roads leading up to the waterfall.

The Caroni River eventually joins the Orinoco.
