22: Looking for Evidence of Erosion

Evidence of river bank erosion is often easy to see. The flow of the river water can easily erode the banks. Evidence of erosion is:

- exposed tree roots
- cracks in the soil in a river bank
- clumps of grass in the river
- the top part of the river bank overhangs
- brown or coloured water

Look carefully at the photos. Label where there is evidence of erosion to the river banks. Use a ruler to label the different types of evidence and use the statements above as labels.
