23: Looking for evidence of deposition

Evidence of deposition is also easy to see. Eroded material is deposited by river banks or on the river bed. Deposition happens when the river has not got enough energy or power to transport (carry) the material.

There are many different types of deposition:

- deposition of pebbles
- deposition of stones
- deposition of silt or mud
- deposition of large rocks or boulders
- deposition of tree branches
- deposition of rubbish/pollution

Look carefully at the photos. Label where there is evidence of deposition.
Draw an arrow to the deposition and label using the statements above.
