68: Designing a leaflet about the Aswan High Dam

You are going to make a leaflet about the Aswan High Dam in Egypt.

Your leaflet needs to include:

1) A front cover - remember to include a border, title, your name and a picture.

2) General information about the Aswan High Dam - when it was built, where it was built (country and continent), why it was built, who built it, how long it is, how high it is.

3) Advantages of building the dam.

4) Disadvantages of building the dam.

5) Pictures and a map of where the dam is located.

Think about how you are going to write your leaflet, perhaps as paragraphs or as bullet points.

Remember to read the information sheets carefully. They are organised into paragraphs, but the paragraphs are mixed up.

Put a G by paragraphs which have general information, an A by paragraphs about advantages, and a D by paragraphs about disadvantages of building the dam. This will help you when you start to write about the Aswan High Dam. Make sure that you present the information in your own words.
