River World
Susan Shears, Platts Heath Primary School, Maidstone

River World has resources for children and teachers on rivers, waterways and water in our homes. There are articles with maps and diagrams and a Photo Gallery to support pupils' research. For teachers, there are ideas, worksheets and examples of class work.

Rivers of the World contains articles on local, national and global rivers, with key facts, maps and photos.

River Features has articles on important features of rivers, natural and artificial.

Teacher Planning addresses the topics of Rivers and Water according to the Geography QCA document, and is organised under key questions, with linked activities. Other topics such as dams, reservoirs and flooding have been added to supplement QCA.

The Photo Gallery contains thumbnail images. Click them to display the full picture. While copyright permissions have been obtained for use in school as a reference resource, this does not extend to making copies of the photographs for any purpose.
