Using Clicker 4 grids with children - 3

Judith Adelsberg, St Crispin's Infant School, Westgate

Ordering numbers 1 to 10
Children write the numbers 1 to 10 in order. Clicking the loudspeaker at the end makes Clicker read back the numbers they have written.

Children may load the next grid (numbers 1 to 20) by clicking the blue 'forward' arrow on the grid toolbar.

Download numbers1.clk
Numbers 1-10

Download numbers2.clk
Numbers 1-20

How to make these grids yourself
Create the grids using File > New grid.

We've already seen how to move, resize and delete cells. For details, and to find how to create the 'loud speaker' button to read the children's work, click here. Use the Back button on your browser to return here.

It is often useful to have a series of grids that children can work on in a sequence. Clicker 4 makes it easy for you to create a set of grids in this way. Create the grids as normal. On saving, make sure each grid has the same name, but with a different number suffix.

For example, the grids above are saved with the names
Numbers1.clk and Numbers2.clk
Provided the grids are in the same folder, Clicker will treat them as a sequence. To move between the grids, children only need to click the blue 'back' and 'forward' buttons on the toolbar.
