Downloading
and using the texts in Word
Word 6.0/95 files for download are marked with this icon:
To download
a file, right click the icon and select Save Target As ...
Browse
to the required folder on your computer and click Save.
Many
of the stories, poems and recounts feature traditional spelling and
grammar. If you display them on screen, turn off the spelling and grammar
checkers in Word.
Click
Tools - Options... Spelling & Grammar.
Click to untick the Check spelling and Check grammar boxes.
If you
display the texts to the whole class, you may need to increase font
size. The quickest way to do this is to hold Ctrl and tap A (Ctrl
A) - this selects the entire document. Hold Ctrl and tap the right
square bracket (Ctrl ]) repeatedly, until the font is large enough.
