Direct2U Lesson Plan
The teacher uses website resources to demonstrate different food groups and discuss these with the children. Two websites are recommended for this work.

Direct2U Lesson Plan
Teachers use a variety of resources from the website Food a fact of Life to teach about the importance of healthy eating.
Children then use a painting package to create a poster on healthy eating, aimed at their parents or their peers. An example is supplied W60 Science Y2X. This activity could build on the Direct2U activity above. Children will learn that an adequate diet is necessary for health and what kinds of foods are good/bad for health.

 Data Logging
Children, with help, make and record observations, including simple comparisons about the effect of exercise on the body.
 Word Processing
Use a word processor with a word bank to present information. Combine pictures and text together.
