Unit 5a:
Keeping Healthy
Identify the components of a healthy and varied diet: recognise some harmful effect of drugs; recognise that during exercise the heart beats faster to take blood more rapidly to the muscles.
 Learn how exercise affects the heart, take their pulse and use tables and graphs to answer questions. Use a spreadsheet to find average. Compare pulse after exercise and after rest. Monitor pulse rate using a datalogger recording results on a spreadsheet. (IWB Resource)
