"Interview an Evacuee Workshop"

Friday May 18th 2007

To understand what life was like for children living in Kent during World War II Kent schools are invited to take part in the forthcoming “Interview an Evacuee Workshop” from 1.30 to 3.30 p.m. on Friday May 18th 2007.

Using the videoconferencing application “FlashMeeting” children will have the opportunity to ask questions about:

  • What it was like to be a child living in Kent in World War II?
  • What was it like to be an evacuee?
  • Why were children evacuated from the towns to the countryside?

What equipment will our school need?

To participate in this activity schools must have full KCN broadband access. No specialist equipment is required. A good quality webcam and desktop microphone will provide good picture and sound quality.
