Your students could either start from scratch or use one of our templates. We have created two templates, one with the numbers linked to pages and on where the students will need to add the links.

How to add sound to a page and voices to characters on a page (PDF)
 Find Santa - Using coordinates and NSEW
The idea for this activity came from 'Find the Teddy' Textease resource created by Andy Lakin-Hall, Crockham Hill Primary School.
Students click on the starting coordinate to receive the next coordinate and follow the instructions until they find Father Christmas. A template is included so more pages can be added.
After clicking on a square, it will disappear for three seconds.

(To extract files from a zipped folder, right click on the zipped folder and select Extract all. Then follow onscreen instructions)

Skills and tools needed:
- Table toolbar
- Hide and Reveal tool - found under the Links icon
- Lock to page - found under Tools menu at the top of the page.
- Remove resize handles - Other menu > Object, then un tick size

 Create an interactive Nativity Scene
Using the clipart on the Northumberland website, students can add their voice to the characters to bring the page a live.

Using simple onscreen control commands, lights on a Christmas tree can be turned on and off.

Top tip: as you ar working with small circles it may be easier to remove the resize handles. ( Other menu > Object, then untick size)
Investigate stars with different number of points using Textease Turtle
A good introduction to creating stars using logo can be found in our Numeracy Zone. A set of five lesson plans guides you through creating stars and other polygons.
Seeing Stars - lesson 4
Build on the polygon rule in lesson 3 by investigating the construction of stars.
The following command line creates a 6 pointed star. It is helpful for the students to investigate how each section in command line functions first before trying more complicated stars.
